i'm a huge fan of devotchka. have been for a few years. it helps that i'm from their hometown of denver, co. and i couldn't be happier that tons a tons of people are finding them and liking them. who cares if it's due to a commercial or otherwise? i don't own gow2 but when i saw the commercial i was stoked that it was a devotchka song because i knew that people would be looking the song up and discovering that greatness that is devotchka. don't be a hater. =)

at least its exposure though. its how i heard it and then came on here to find it. i listen to a lot of different styles of music and when you get busy sometimes mainstream is a good way to at least get noticed and then people like me can come on here and see all that they have to offer. i can appreciate what your saying but i'm sure that the band is glad to just get out there to a new audience. pseudo fans will always exist regardless of how popular something gets.

Everything is subjective, and even liking MGMT, which i do, i would NEVER go see them over a live act. Their music is fun but electronic music played live, unless by very talented people, is generally not much different from the studio version w/ some lights and pyro thrown in... thow in the fact that this band is really good and i dunno what happened haha

I just want to let everyone know that this was the best performance I saw at the festival. I talked to about a dozen others who agree with me and all of them like me had never heard of them or haven't seen them live. I feel sorry for all those people who watch MGMT bomb again and missed this. Explosions in the Sky were great after this and then I saw Battles who were equally great. One of the greatest three hours in my life.
